Basic Jet Ski Requirements & Safety Tips
To rent a jet ski in Myrtle Beach, there are a few essential requirements.
Age Restrictions – Riders typically need to be at least 16 years old to operate a jet ski on their own, though passengers of all ages are welcome. Those under 18 may require a parent or guardian’s permission.
Safety Gear – Life jackets are mandatory for all riders. Rental companies provide them, along with a safety orientation to ensure that you are familiar with how to operate the jet ski safely.
Weather Awareness – Always check the weather forecast before heading out. Windy conditions or thunderstorms can make the water unsafe for jet skiing.
